Welcome to MagikByMark.com! My introduction to the world magic occurred at my sixth birthday party. My parents, sparing no expense, invited my Uncle Tom who was an amateur magician to entertain a couple friends and me with some “hocus pocus.” Uncle Tom may have been a little rusty with his sleight of hand but the moment he pulled that first shiny new quarter from somewhere behind my ear and handed it to me, I was hooked.
Since then I have enjoyed performing, reading about, watching, collecting and creating magic. Magic has so many wonderful benefits, especially for children. It teaches them the importance of practice, helps them develop their presentation and communication skills and can turn them into a rock start among their peers.
Magic is a tremendous hobby for all ages and the reason for this book. I can’t think of a better way to share my fascination with and love of this craft than teaching youngsters some of the fundamentals of magic, so that they may discover for themselves the fun and excitement of performing miracles. So…LET’S GO!
