Effect: You, by way of your clairvoyant abilities are able, amazingly, to correctly identify three random cards from a deck of facedown cards, haphazardly spread out on a tabletop.
Secret: Once again, the “one ahead” principle is used in this card effect. You secretly note and remember the bottom card in the deck, for example the 9S.
1. Spread all the cards, face down, on a tabletop in a messy, haphazard manner, but make sure you still know where the bottom card (the 9S) is.
2. Touch the back of any card. State that it is a black card, a nine – the nine of spades – calling out the name of the bottom card.
3. Remove that first card but secretly note and remember its value before placing it off to the side. Let’s say it is the QD.
4. Touch a second card, say it’s the 2H, look at it and miscall it as the first card, the QD. Place this second card near the first one.
5. For the third card, simply touch the original bottom card and announce that you believe it to be (the second card you picked) the 2H.
6. Place this card with the other two cards. Pick up all three cards and turn them over to show that your mental powers have allowed you to correctly find three random cards from the deck!
